Bone Grafting

An important component of dental implant placement is ensuring adequate bone exists for the dental implant. In situations where a tooth has been missing for a period of time or significant infection led to bone loss, we have the ability to regrow bone through bone grafting techniques. A socket preservation is a bone grafting technique that is used in conjunction with tooth removal in order to prevent future bone loss. Bone grafting typically takes 3-6 months to heal completely. After healing, a 3D x-ray or CBCT scan is taken to analyze bone regeneration and digitally plan the dental implant surgery.
